Everyone across the eight-county Catholic Diocese of Cleveland is invited to participate in praying the Night Prayer of the Church at nine different parishes in the diocese on consecutive evenings from Wednesday, November 30 through Thursday, December 8, the feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Night prayer is part of the Liturgy of the Hours, also known as the Divine Office. In the Liturgy of the Hours, the Church fulfills Jesus’ command to “pray always.”
Through this prayer, the people of God sanctify the day by continual praise of God and prayers of intercession for the needs of the world. Our Lady of Grace Church, 1088 Ridge Road, Hinckley will be a host parish. The church will be open from 8:00 – 9:00 pm each evening. Night Prayers begin at 8:15 pm. Booklets will be provided. December 8 is a Holy Day of Obligation. Please join us for Mass at 7:00 pm.
The Diocese of Cleveland will conclude the evening with a Marian-themed ice-cream social in our hall.
